Prove identity and ownership first
Match the VIN and statutory or model identification to the invoice, ownership documents and service records. Confirm that the charger and Arkenstone device belong with the motorcycle rather than accepting an unrelated bundle of equipment and paperwork.
The existing owner must complete the official transfer beside the powered-on motorcycle, and the buyer needs a registered Stark account beforehand. If the seller lacks account access or authority to transfer that exact bike, stop before payment.
Recognise the immediate stop conditions
Pause the purchase for an active warning, failed ownership transfer, damaged high-voltage component or missing ownership history. Do not charge, open or investigate a visibly damaged battery or high-voltage assembly. Those conditions require the official support or diagnostic route.
Damaged charging equipment and unresolved VIN or document discrepancies also need an answer before the transaction continues. A cleared warning screen is insufficient on its own; ask what happened, under which conditions and what documented diagnosis or repair followed.
Inspect it as an off-road motorcycle
Check the frame, wheels, bearings, chain, sprockets, guides, brakes, suspension and controls. Prioritise impact evidence, play, leakage, abnormal wear and mismatched components. A quiet electric drivetrain still places normal enduro loads through every chassis wear point.
Review tyre and drive wear alongside the recorded hours and how the bike was used. A visual inspection identifies concerns rather than internal condition, so anything suspicious should be assessed by a competent technician before purchase.
Demand a service history that joins up
Compare dates and operating hours with gear-oil, fork-oil and suspension-service records. Confirm software information, app access, displayed messages and available workshop invoices. Hours or distance alone cannot describe whether scheduled work was completed.
A short test ride and state-of-charge display cannot establish battery health, remaining life or warranty coverage. If battery behaviour is a concern, require an authorised diagnostic path. Missing service evidence may justify a lower valuation, further inspection or walking away until the history is clarified.
