Stark VARG charging-source compatibility: home, generator and public AC

Charge the Stark VARG through its Stark charger from a compatible AC source; never connect the motorcycle directly to a DC fast charger. Home charging is the simplest option, while generators and public AC points require verification of the complete connection before you rely on them.

01

Home supply

The Bajamoto VARG EX configuration includes a 3.3 kW stand charger, and the EX manual states approximately 2 hours for a full charge from 220 V. Check that the intended socket and installation can support the charger. Where their condition or suitability is uncertain, have a qualified electrician inspect them.

An additional charger is unnecessary for the standard home arrangement. A sound supply in a dry charging area is the straightforward solution.

02

Paddock generator

Work from the time between sessions and the charge you need to restore. The generator must supply the charger correctly, while every cable and connecting component must suit the full arrangement. Have the equipment provider or a qualified electrician verify it before the riding day; a matching socket alone settles nothing.

03

Public AC point

A compatible public AC point can act as the supply for the Stark charger when the point, cable and any adapter suit the charger and local standard. The motorcycle still charges through its own Stark unit.

Confirm the particular installation before planning a return journey around it. Access to a charging network or a familiar plug shape provides no evidence that direct DC fast charging is possible or permitted.

04

Common safety boundary

Keep the motorcycle, connector and charger dry, and do not charge below 4°C. Use undamaged cables, adapters and extension leads rated for the complete load. Stop if any component is wet, damaged or behaves unexpectedly.

Never alter wiring, bypass protective equipment or open the charger, battery, inverter or motor. Record the indications and send internal electrical or high-voltage faults through Bajamoto or Stark support.
